Epistolary structure of a biblical book

A biblical book written in epistolary genre has the following structure:

  • a brief introduction
  • a personal conclusion
and in between -- two major segments:
  • a doctrinal section, followed by
  • a practical section.
Examples: Ephesians, Colossians, other Pauline writings.
